MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Officials have declared a “no fly zone” around the USS Farragut while it is in port.
Long-time Okaloosa County pub goes up in flames
The USS Farragut, Mobile’s 2026 Mardi Gras Ship, sailed into port Friday and will be here through Fat Tuesday.
While it is here, a 3,000-foot “no fly” security zone for drones has been established around the ship.
For more than 100 years, the City of Mobile has welcomed a U.S. Navy ship to the Port of Mobile during peak Mardi Gras season so the sailors aboard can experience Mobile’s carnival season.
