First came the marchers: Evergreens, Nevergreens, Pelican Girls, Monstrous Women, Mystic Dollys of Folly, space aliens, Parrotheads, Squirrels of Bienville, zombies, pirates, mistresses of Joe Cain, Wild Mauvillians and more.
And that was barely the half of it, as an equally eclectic series of floats followed through the streets of downtown Mobile in the annual Joe Cain Procession.
