MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Rendezvous is a local music festival bringing together a diverse pool of Alabama performers. The organizers, three high school students, felt there was a need for an event that celebrates music other than simply country music, so they started Rendezvous. They’re part of Youth Leadership Mobile, a year long program in which every student has to create a project that brings the community together. They decided to do a festival because of the cancellation of Hangout for this year and the need for a genre bending festival that uplifts new artists.
