A long day of fun and learning was worth doing

At 4:30 a.m. last Friday, 45 fourth-graders from Anna Booth Elementary in Bayou La Batre left home in anticipation of a fun and exciting learning “adventure” in Troy, three hours away.

At day’s end, it was an adventure for the students that was well-worth doing, the teachers said.

The first stop was the Pioneer Museum of Alabama to learn, first hand, how those who pioneered Alabama lived, worked, learned and played…
