The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has proposed $257,707 in fines be levied against an Alabama company for violations at a Mobile worksite after two workers died in 2025 from being exposed to sewage gases.
OSHA cited Construction Labor Services Inc., of Eight Mile, “with 16 serious violations” and the proposed fines, according to an OSHA press release issued Tuesday. The company has 15 business days to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA’s area director, or contest the findings before the independent Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, according to the press release.
