CHICKASAW, Ala. (WALA) – Tensions boiled over at a public hearing Wednesday night as Chickasaw residents debated whether the city’s only hotel should keep its business license.
The M Star Hotel on Lee Street faces potential license revocation after police say they responded to an excessive number of 911 calls at the property over the past year.
Some residents want the hotel’s license revoked, citing crime and public safety concerns. Others urged the city to give the hotel owners more time to bring the property up to code and address safety issues.
Safety concerns mount
