OSHA findings against Eight Mile company ‘lend credence’ to wrongful-death suit, lawyer says

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Findings this week that an Eight Mile company violated workplace safety rules will have no direct impact on a wrongful-death lawsuit over the same accident that claimed the lives of two workers.

But Stephen Maggio, who represents the family of one of those workers, said it lends “credence” to the allegations in the civil suit.

“That doesn’t affect the family’s litigation or position with the court,” he told FOX10 News. “Those fines don’t go to the family. Those are fines that are assessed by OSHA against the liable business.”…
