GROVE HILL, Ala. (WALA) – A Clarke County Circuit Court judge on Monday overruled a state agency’s decision revoking the law enforcement certification of former Citronelle Police Chief Tyler Norris.
Presiding Circuit Judge Robert Montgomery wrote in a six-page order that the decision by the Alabama Peace Officers’ Standards and Training Commission – commonly called APOST – was “clearly erroneous and unreasonable, arbitrary or capricious” and an “abuse of discretion.”
An attorney for APOST told FOX10 News that he plans to appeal.
