MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A Grand Bay woman has been sentenced for charges related to firearm possession by a felon.

According to a news release from the United States Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Alabama, Heather Ashley Stringfellow was sentenced to 77 months in prison for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on Monday, Feb. 23.

Deputies with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office searched Stringfellow’s home in August 2024 and found a Taurus GX4 semi-automatic pistol and a purse with marijuana, Xanax, and methamphetamine inside. She told deputies that multiple people sold drugs from the home.

A text message sent by Stringfellow was found by investigators that showed she sent a picture of the Taurus firearm with the message saying “I bought a pistol,” the release said…
