Fugitive from Louisiana arrested in Citronelle on SORNA violations

CITRONELLE, Ala. (NBC 15) — According to Citronelle Police, on March 2, 2026, law enforcement officers arrested a fugitive from Louisiana in Citronelle for violations of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).

The arrest occurred yesterday afternoon following a coordinated effort between the Citronelle Police Department, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), and the United States Marshals Service.

The individual, who was identified as Shawn Anthony Chance out of Livingston Parish, was wanted out of Louisiana for failing to comply with SORNA registration requirements.
