Man gets two life sentences for 2022 Chickasaw park robbery and murder

MOBILE, Ala. (NBC 15) — District Attorney Keith Blackwood announced Monday that Tre’Vion Collins-Smiley was sentenced last Wednesday, February 25, to two life sentences following his conviction for Murder and Robbery in the First Degree.

On October 21, 2022, Collins-Smiley shot and killed Triston Bohannon during a robbery in broad daylight during a robbery in a public park in Chickasaw, Alabama. In January 2026, a Mobile County jury found him guilty of both charges.

On February 25, 2026, Judge Youngpeter sentenced Collins-Smiley to Life in Prison for Murder and Life in Prison for Robbery in the First Degree. Sentences to run concurrently…
