MOBILE, Ala. (NBC 15) — As Amtrak continues to expand it’s Mardi Gras line, the Southern Rail Commission is considering new ways to enhance safety for trains and cars at crossings in our area.
One thing on the table is bollards that raise up preventing cars from attempting to drive around the lowered crossing arms.
This comes after multiple train-related fatalities in our area, including a mother and daughter killed last month…
