Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood has endorsed Jay Mitchell in the race for Alabama Attorney General, adding another prosecutor’s voice to the growing list of law-enforcement leaders supporting the candidate.
Blackwood announced his endorsement this week, praising Mitchell’s experience and his commitment to working alongside local prosecutors across the state.
“As Mobile County District Attorney, my duty is to hold criminals accountable and protect the people of Mobile County,” Blackwood said. “To effectively fulfill that role, Alabama needs an Attorney General who truly understands the realities of our justice system and will stand firmly with local prosecutors when we enforce the law.
