PRICHARD, Ala. (WKRG) — A man from Prichard was arrested after allegedly possessing an illegally modified pistol.

According to court documents, Braedan Matthew Thomas, 19, was arrested on Feb. 16 after allegedly being found with a pistol that had a Glock switch.
On Feb. 15, a member of a gang in Mobile was shot and killed in the Downtown Mobile area. A member of a rival gang later posted a photo of Thomas on the ground with his shoes off, “trolling” the death on Instagram.
In the photo, Thomas can be seen with a red-gripped black pistol in his waistband. An ATF officer assigned to the Mobile Field Division saw the picture and identified that the pistol had an illegal Glock switch.
The officer found Thomas, as well as two other people, walking on North Broad Street near Springhill Avenue.
Officers with the Mobile Police Department attempted to detain Thomas, but he allegedly resisted. This led to a struggle that ended with a gun falling out of Thomas’s pants…
