MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A 25-year-old Mobile woman has been released on bail a day after she was booked into Mobile County Metro Jail on assault and domestic violence charges, records show.
The Mobile Police Department said Dashia Romona Rothchild resisted arrest and struck a police officer in the head with her fist before she was taken to Metro Jail and booked on those charges at 3:24 a.m. Thursday.
Police said it was about 2 a.m. when officers responded to the 1100 block of Gorgas Street for a domestic complaint. The MPD said officers met the victim, who stated he had left the location where he and the woman had argued and that she following him and struck him, prompting his call to police.
While awaiting their arrival, police said, Rothchild threw an object, shattering the windshield of the victim’s vehicle. When police attempted to detain Rothchild, she struck an officer in the head with her fist, police said…
