SEMMES, Ala. (NBC 15) – Newly released body camera video is shedding light on a controversial officer-involved shooting that left a Semmes business owner seriously injured earlier this year.
The video, obtained exclusively by NBC 15, shows the moments leading up to the January 4th shooting at Bowman Auto Air, where police say officers were responding to a possible burglary around 3 a.m.
According to Semmes Police, officers arrived to find a door open and a cut padlock on the ground. The department says officers had also responded to a reported break-in at the business just hours earlier…
