BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Bay Minette City Council passed a resolution Monday night to seek $2 million in federal funding for a small business innovation hub and incubator initiative.

“This is requesting money from Katie Britt’s office to create an innovation hub here in Bay Minette,” Mayor Josh Brown said. “We cannot acquire property using those funds, so we will utilize the civic center, the recreation center and maybe, if they’re willing, the Chamber of Commerce building to host these initiatives.”
In a statement released from the Mayor’s office, Brown said the initiative would “serve as a catalyst for North Baldwin County’s economy, providing essential resources, programming, and specialized support for entrepreneurs and small business owners.”…
