MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man accused of the murder of his ex-girlfriend is in the hospital after being attacked in jail.

Desmond Longmire, 39, was taken to the hospital following a fight between him and people who knew the victim, Sheanaka Poindexter.
Poindexter was shot and killed on Saturday, March 21, in her home in the 5400 block of Vienna Avenue at around 12:30 a.m.
