Former Spring Hill College student sues over mold in campus housing, court documents say

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A legal battle is brewing between Spring Hill College and a former student who claims mold in her campus housing gave her long-lasting health issues.

Kacy Nalley graduated from Spring Hill in 2023, earning her nursing degree and playing soccer for the college. Court documents show she’s suing the school in Mobile County Circuit Court, claiming mold in two student housing facilities caused on-going health problems, including asthma and other respiratory issues.

“My issues started junior year. Sinus infections, fluid in my face, I was coughing up black. With nursing, they were like, you can’t come to class like this, you can’t go to clinicals. So, every week I was having to get mono, COVID, flu, like every test under the sun, just to prove that I wasn’t actually contagious,” Nalley said…
