Firefighters jump in to help baby born in parking lot

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — It was a bizarre moment for new mom, 22-year-old Takira Dunson, as she gave birth to her baby in a convenience store parking lot on Michigan Avenue.

Luckily, her uncle Lionel Jordan was just arriving to the store to pick her up when the baby was making a grand entrance, they won’t ever forget.

“Soon as I got out the car about five seconds later the baby fell out and everything else attached to it,” Jordan said. “That’s my niece, so my instinct was to make sure the baby was alright.”

And he did exactly that. Thankfully, first responders were right around the corner at the scene of a burned house from hours earlier when Jordan came calling for help…
