MOBILE, Ala. (NBC 15) — Plans to re-install the Conrad Albrizio murals removed from the Mobile Civic Center into the new Arena call for the two murals to be cut into smaller pieces.
The Mobile City Council on Tuesday will consider a contract increase of $67,500 with Walter P. Moore and Associations for the design and engineering of structures to re-install the murals in the new Arena.
According to the proposal, the murals would be cut into segments in the 9 to 16 square foot range. The panels, “Mardi Gras” and “Circus” each measure 16 feet tall by 45 feet long, and weigh and estimated 58 tons…
