Baldwin County students recognized as America 250 Poster Contest winners

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Students from each Baldwin County Commission district were selected for their artwork depicting “What Freedom Means to Me” as part of America’s 250th birthday celebration, according to county officials.

According to a Commission news release, fifth graders throughout Baldwin County designed a poster for the America 250 Poster Contest, “showcasing their understanding of freedom, patriotism, and the values that define our nation.”

Winners were then selected from each district, where that district representative visited the schools to personally congratulate the winners.

In addition to the district winners, students were awarded in the following categories:

  • Best overall
  • Best use of theme
  • Most creative
  • Best historical representation
  • Judges’ choice

All winning artwork will be displayed in Baldwin County Commission offices around the county…
