SEMMES, Ala. (WKRG) — A former Mobile County Sheriff deputy is being called to serve the public in other ways than fighting crime.
Johnny Ledger is writing and composing Christian music. He composed his new Easter song, “Kings of Kings,” in January at his home in Semmes.
“Kings of Kings’ came about over some ideas about a new choir song for Easter,” said Johnny Ledger.

Ledger said wandering outside his home is where he finds his inspiration.
