MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Alabama is applying to a federal transportation pilot program related to tolling authority for the Interstate 10 bridge and bayway project.
Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) revealed that during a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing on Tuesday when she mentioned that the Alabama Department of Transportation had applied for the Interstate System Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Pilot Program.
“We know that that is important, not just for Mobile, but it’s important for the entire Gulf Coast, and we are looking at commerce being able to move across our nation,” she said while questioning Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. “This is a critical component to it.”…
