Man kicks and spits on officer, nurse in Stockton, police say

(FOX40.COM) — A 28-year-old Stockton man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer during an arrest and later kicking a hospital nurse, according to the Stockton Police Department.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Dundee Way in the Bearcreek District at about 4:17 a.m. regarding a report of a man causing a disturbance. When officers arrived, they conducted a records check and determined the suspect had an outstanding warrant.

Police detained the man without incident. However, Stockton police said while officers were escorting him to a patrol vehicle, he allegedly kicked and spat on an officer. Officers then took him to the ground to prevent further harm to himself and others…
