The owners of a downtown Modesto restaurant have announced that it has closed, three years after they took it over from a popular Modesto chef.
Tye Bauer sold Bauer’s Downtown Gastropub to Monica Barocio and Lazaro Jimenez in January 2023. The married couple also owned Sazon Por Tradicion in Riverbank at the time.
When they reopened the downtown Modesto restaurant in February 2023, they named it Bauer’s by Sazon, keeping a lot of Bauer’s’ favorites on the menu…
