Khalid Lanier identified as man killed near train tracks in Stockton

A man who was fatally shot June 4 near train tracks in Stockton was identified Monday as Khalid Lisimba Lanier, the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Lanier, 43 of Stockton, was found with a gunshot wound in the 700 Block of West Anderson Street, police said. Officers were called to the train tracks, just north of Anderson Street, for a report of a shooting.

Lanier was found at the scene with a wound to his upper body and was taken to a hospital. He died at the hospital from his injuries, officers said…
