San Joaquin County, CA—Calaveras Consolidated Fire Department assisted with a vegetation fire on Highway 26 in San Joaquin County near the Calaveras County line.
The flames broke out around 8 p.m. along Highway 26 and Shelton Road in San Joaquin County, west of Jenny Lind. Firefighters from multiple agencies responded to a vegetation fire and stopped the forward spread quickly at about seven acres. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
