San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation is preparing to bring more evening activities, family fun, and community connection to local parks through a new grant-funded initiative designed to make neighborhood public spaces more active, welcoming, and engaging.
The department has been awarded $100,000 through Trust for Public Land’s Central Valley Park Access and Activation Grant Program to launch Parks After Dark, a pilot program focused on expanding free recreational programming and community activities at County-run neighborhood parks in Stockton.
