California troopers catch semi truck doing 70 m.p.h in ‘fast lane’ with suspended Motor Carrier Permit

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) impounded a semi truck that was caught exceeding the state’s speed limit for commercial vehicles.

According to CHP’s Modesto Division, a commercial vehicle enforcement officer spotted a semi truck “traveling in the fast lane southbound SR-99 near Hammett Road at 70 m.p.h.”

The trooper pulled the truck over for a traffic stop and learned that the semi truck’s Motor Carrier Permit was suspended…
