Parole granted, then questioned in 1996 murder of 75-year-old Stockton woman

A man convicted of raping, torturing and killing his 75-year-old Stockton neighbor in 1996 — and previously granted parole — will have his release reconsidered in October.

In 1997, James Dennis Lynch, now 46, pleaded guilty to the rape of Stockton resident Hilda Armanino Boggiano. At the time of the crime, Lynch was 16 years old.

Lynch had raped Boggiano on July 6, 1996 with an electric massager and then stabbed her with a butcher knife from her kitchen inside her home located in the 100 block of West Essex Street…
