(FOX40.COM) — Residents across parts of Stockton woke up early Tuesday morning to heavy law enforcement presence as multiple local, state, federal and international agencies carried out coordinated raids tied to what investigators say is an India-based crime network.
Authorities say several search warrants were served in San Joaquin County as part of “Operation Hard Ball,” a two-year investigation targeting three criminal organizations operating under the direction of the Bishnoi gang – an India-based criminal network accused of violence spanning multiple countries.
Federal officials announced that 24 people arrested across the United States, Canada and Europe. Eleven of those arrests were made in California, including in Stockton, Manteca, Sacramento, and Los Angeles County…
