Northeast Modesto is the target area for aerial spraying Monday night to control mosquitoes.
The East Side Mosquito Abatement District said the spraying will reduce the concentration of nuisance mosquitoes and also strike the culex species that carries West Nile virus.
The aerial treatments are scheduled between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. over two areas totaling 6,300 acres. One area is south of Grogan Park and Mable Avenue, between Coffee and Claus roads. The other includes neighborhoods between McHenry Avenue and Claus Road, south of Granger Avenue to Dry Creek…
