A gunman opened fire on two parked vehicles in Stockton’s Park District yesterday, striking cars belonging to a 41-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man without hurting anyone. The shooting happened around 2 AM near the intersection of Seventh Street and Ophir Street, where officers found the vehicles riddled with bullet holes but no victims were wounded.
According to a Stockton Police Department watch commander’s day report, the suspect fired several rounds that struck both vehicles as the two owners had them parked in the area. Police have not identified the shooter, and it remains unclear whether the vehicles were deliberately targeted or whether the victims were inside or near the cars when the gunfire began. No arrests have been announced.
