Climb Aboard History: USS Lucid Reaches 85% Restoration as Stockton Maritime Museum Opens Ship to the Public

Stockton residents will have a rare opportunity to step aboard a piece of naval history this fall when the Stockton Maritime Museum hosts an open house aboard the USS Lucid on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the USS Lucid’s temporary mooring, 3100 Monte Diablo Avenue in Stockton. Suggested donations are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

This year’s open house comes at an especially significant point in the ship’s restoration. Organizers say the former U.S. Navy minesweeper is now approximately 85 percent restored, giving returning visitors a chance to see substantial progress since previous tours.
