Businesses hosting soft openings and grand openings, when both days are equally advertised, baffles me so much that I have long-considered writing a story about it. Hobby Lobby in Riverbank, in my opinion, did a soft opening the right way when it started letting customers in without saying a word.
Hobby Lobby, in the Crossroads West shopping center, 2123 Claribel Road, opened quietly Sept. 25. The Riverbank store is Hobby Lobby’s 73rd location in California, according to a news release published the day it opened. It’s the third location in Stanislaus County.
