Commercial vehicle driver arrested for DUI after close call at stop sign, CHP says

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) put the brakes on a truck driver for operating under the influence in the Modesto area.

According to a September 26 release from CHP’s Modesto Division, a commercial vehicle officer recently performed a traffic stop on a “big rig pulling doubles” after the driver failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign.

Troopers said that the driver “turned onto Crows Landing Road and caused traffic to abruptly stop to avoid a crash.”…
