More than a month after the Patterson City Council passed a draft motion to censure Mayor Michael Clauzel, the allegations against him have come to light in a 47-page agenda for a meeting of the city’s Rules Committee on Monday, Sept. 28.
While Clauzel was found in violation of city policies, no criminal allegations have been put forward.
A third-party investigation found that Clauzel “violated city policies by engaging in bullying and abusive conduct toward city employees and City Councilmembers,” and “violated city policies and the Patterson Municipal Code by becoming directly involved in city operations and bypassing the city’s organizational structure.”…
