The Modesto General Plan update is beginning another phase to review draft policies and consider an environmental justice component.
In a notice Friday, the city said the general plan policies will guide city decisions on housing, jobs, transportation, parks, municipal infrastructure and open space. The Modesto 2050 General Plan will serve as a blueprint for city development through the year 2050.
