Stockton: Free Sandbag Stations Offered To Residents Friday, Saturday

Bay City News

Free sandbags and filling stations will be available in Stockton on Friday and Saturday due to possible heavy rains in the forecast.

City officials cautioned residents who experienced flooding or high waters during the 2022-23 winter storms to prepare for the rainy season in advance.

Stations will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stockton Soccer Complex located at 10055 N. State Route 99, W. Frontage Rd, Weber Point Events Center at 221 N. Center St, and Van Buskirk Park at 1740 Houston Ave.

The stations will be self-service, self-fill, and residents will need to bring their own shovel as well as show identification with a City of Stockton address.

Employees from the city will be available to help assist people with filling and loading bags into their vehicles.
