STOCKTON, Calif. (KTXL) – To be a student athlete there’s work ethic, dedication and passion involved. To be a top athlete in the country and maintain a 4.5 gpa requires another level of grit. Growing up, St. Mary’s senior, Jordan Lee, always had a passion for sports, but it wasn’t until she entered high school that she truly fell in love with the game of basketball.
I really started to love basketball my freshman year of high school,” Lee said. “I started playing YMCA basketball in third grade and I was playing up so I was playing with my sisters’ team and my dad was the coach. That was easily the start because that brought a lot of foundation to the way I approached the game. A lot of my fundamentals because being a coach’s kid and being on the younger side of things because not only are you playing up in pace, we’re also playing with the boys so it was a mixture of things definitely would be a start.”
The stockton guard is one of the best in the country. Lee is ranked eighth in the 2024 recruiting class and has committed to play for the Texas longhorns.
