The United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded the first quake, a 2.7 magnitude tremor, striking 13 kilometers southwest of Westley, CA, at 10:22:23 PST. The quake had a depth of -0.5 kilometers.
A second earthquake, measuring 2.9 magnitude, occurred 26 kilometers southeast of Kettleman City, CA, at 05:24:29 PST. This quake had a minimal depth of -0.1 kilometers. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries resulting from these recent seismic activities.
This seismic activity follows a series of earthquakes that shook the region on Friday afternoon. It began with a preliminary 4.2 magnitude quake at 1:28 p.m. The epicenter of this quake was located 2.9 miles southwest of Cobb, 13.5 miles south-southwest of Clearlake, 13.8 miles north-northeast of Healdsburg, and 17.1 miles north of Windsor.
