Back down to earth: Former astronaut Hernandez comes ‘full circle’ at his Acampo winery

Stockton native Jose Hernandez said not many retired astronauts turn to winemaking after leaving NASA. In fact, he might just be the only one who has.

Hernandez, who served on Space Shuttle mission STS-128 in 2009, launched Tierra Luna Cellars four years ago, after purchasing 20 acres of land in Acampo.
