A Stockton man was taken to a Modesto hospital for treatment of major injuries suffered in a collision near the intersection of East Briggsmore and Rose avenues Tuesday night., according to the Modesto Police Department.
The crash was a little after 9:30 p.m. The Stockton driver, alone in his Ford Fiesta, was pinned in and had to be extricated by the Modesto Fire Department. A Modesto woman, driving a Kia Optima, has injuries that are not life-threatening and also was taken to a hospital.
The woman is suspected of driving under the influence, police said. Information on whether she was booked on charges was not available as of late Wednesday morning.
The drivers’ names have not yet been released.
