Arizona and Idaho men suspects in Stockton fatal shooting

(FOX40.COM) — After nearly two months of tracking down the suspects in a double shooting in Stockton that resulted in the death of a woman on Dec. 17, the Stockton Police Department has announced the capture of two out-of-state suspects.

On Wednesday evening, the police department shared that a 38-year-old Phoenix, AZ man and a 39-year-old Rupert, ID man were arrested in their respective cities with assistance from Stockton Police detectives and local law enforcement.

The two men are believed to be connected to a shooting that took place around 3:41 p.m. on Dec. 17 in the area of S Grant Street and E Clay Street.

When officers arrived in the area they found a 32-year-old female and a 31-year-old male had been shot.

The victims were transported to area hospitals. The woman would later die while undergoing medical care.

Both men have been brought back to California and are being held at the San Joaquin County Jail where they are facing a charge of murder.
