Dogged police work leads detectives to find stolen French Bulldog taken in brazen California theft

In a heartwarming turn of events, the Stockton Police Department successfully orchestrated the reunion of a stolen French Bulldog with its distraught family after a diligent investigation.

The saga began on January 26, 2024, when Stockton Police responded to a report of a French Bulldog pilfered from a residence in the 2400 Block of East Market St. Fueled by a commitment to community safety, detectives tirelessly followed leads, leading them to a residence in the 2400 Block of E Seventh St during their follow-up investigation into several shooting incidents, police said.

On February 9, 2024, detectives executed a search warrant at the aforementioned residence, unearthing not only two loaded firearms but also the much-missed French Bulldog.

The skilled investigators, amidst their pursuit of justice, were able to ascertain that the dog had indeed been stolen, police added.

The subsequent swift and meticulous actions by the Stockton Police ensured the stolen dog’s safe recovery and joyous reunion with its grateful owners.
