MODESTO, Calif. – An armed suspect was shot by Modesto police on Tuesday morning, according to the Modesto Police Department. Police said two officers were involved in the shooting when they encountered the armed suspect while conducting a traffic stop near Paradise Road and South Martin Luther King Drive. First responders transported the suspect to the hospital, where they are currently in stable condition, police said.
