One of The Beach Boys’ co-founders to bring the group’s hits to Modesto

One of the founding members of The Beach Boys, Al Jardine, brings the group’s hits to the Gallo Center for the Arts. It’s just one of many entertainment options planned for the Modesto region from Feb. 17-23.

Al Jardine

Co-founding member of The Beach Boys Al Jardine brings “The Family & Friends Tour” to the Gallo Center. He is joined on stage by Carnie and Wendy Wilson of Wilson Phillips. They are the daughters of Brian Wilson, who co-founded The Beach Boys with Jardine. The show also features Jardine’s son Matt Jardine, who toured with The Beach Boys and Brian Wilson.

Tex Beneke Orchestra

A tribute to Glenn Miller and Tex Beneke will showcase their classic hits. The Tex Beneke Orchestra will be joined by Miller vocal group The Modernaires for the show at the Gallo Center. Included will be classics such as “In the Mood,” “String of Pearls” and “Tuxedo Junction,” as well as swing tunes like “Little Brown Jug” and “American Patrol.” The show also features “Chatanooga Choo Choo,” “Kalamazoo,” “Elmer’s Tune” and “Moonlight Cocktail.” Frank Sinatra impersonator Sebastian Anzaldo also will perform, with bandleader Gary Tole hosting the show.
