Over 1K marijuana plants eradicated in bust in Merced County

MERCED COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Over a thousand marijuana plants have been eradicated as a result of an illegal grow bust in Merced County, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office announced.

The Merced County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff Enforcement says they, along with Code Enforcement Teams, served a search warrant for an illegal marijuana grow at a home in Turlock located in the 17000 block of East Clausen Road.

According to sheriff’s officials, the warrant resulted in the eradication of 1,440 marijuana plants and the seizure of a firearm.

This is an ongoing investigation.
