Tubbs has fruitful start to fundraising efforts for CA Lieutenant Governor race

Former Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs is off to a fast fundraising start in his 2026 bid for lieutenant governor, raising more than $400,000 in the first week of his campaign. More than $330,000 of that total came from donations of $5,000 or more, according to a campaign filing spanning July 17 to July 26. A Tubbs spokesperson said 87% of the campaign’s 973 donors had contributed less than $100.
